Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows (or 1 bag)
  • 9 oz Rice Krispies cereal (or 1 standard box)

    Pour cereal into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.

    In a medium saucepan melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted.

    Pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal and mix with a spatula until evenly distributed. Press firmly into a 11x13 pan or cookie sheet, or shape into balls. Let cool before cutting.

    Pour cereal into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.

    Pour the mini marshmallows into another large mixing bowl. Set aside.

    Place the butter in a microwave safe dish. Heat at 30 second intervals until melted. Pour over the marshmallows and stir to coat. Now heat the marshmallow mixture at 30 second intervals, stirring in between microwaving until completely melted.

    Pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal and mix with a spatula until evenly distributed. Press firmly into a 11x13 pan or cookie sheet, or shape into balls. Let cool before cutting.
